4's desire for control is a tough sell on the 1. The 1's need to make things happen now, frustrates the meticulous 4. Opposites in many ways, these two should not expect easy compromise. If they ever can accept one another for who they are, their respective strengths will make a solid relationship.

This is a very compatible combination as both of these numbers are ones that like to have a lot of freedom in a relationship. The drive for independence is paramount for each.
